SUMMARY:Literary Lunch - Philip Gwynne Jones
DESCRIPTION:Born in Swansea\, Philip Gwynne Jones first came to Italy in 1994 when he spent some time working for the European Space Agency in Frascati\, a job that proved to be less exciting than he had imagined. \nHe spent twenty years in the IT industry before realising he was congenitally unsuited to it\, and now works as a writer and translator. He lives in Venice with his wife Caroline and a modestly friendly cat called Mimi. \nHis first novel\, “The Venetian Game”\, was a Waterstones Thriller of the Month and reached number 2 in the Times paperback fiction charts. “The Venetian Legacy” similarly reached the Times top 10; whilst “Venetian Gothic” was chosen by the Literary Review as one of the crime novels of 2020. “To Venice with Love”\, a non-fiction account of moving to and living in La Serenissima was a Reader’s Digest Book of the Month. \n“The Angels of Venice”\, the sixth book in the Nathan Sutherland series\, has been released in paperback\, with the hardback of “The Venetian Candidate” following in July 2023 and now in July 2024 "The Venetian Sanctuary". \nIn his spare time\, he enjoys cooking\, old horror films\, and listens to far too much Italian Progressive Rock.  \nHe is proud to be a member of the Society of Authors\, the Crime Writers’ Association and the Welsh crime writing cooperative Crime Cymru.
