Skylona Second-Hand Bookshop will also be joining us with a selection of pre-loved books available to purchase.
We’ll also be collecting optional donations for the local food bank, so if you’re able to bring along a food item or other donation, it will be gratefully received.

Robert Tregoning (visiting Infants Schools)
Robert Tregoning is an award-winning author who loves writing stories that celebrate being yourself. Before becoming a picture book writer, he studied at the Glasgow School of Art and performed on stage in West End shows.
His books, including The Dress in the Window and Out of the Blue, are full of imagination, kindness and characters who learn to shine in their own unique way.

Beccy Blake (Visiting Junior Schools)
Beccy Blake has always loved drawing and writing about silly things and weird stuff. She went to art college in Newcastle and got a degree in illustration and design. Since then, she has continued to do illustration as well as animation work. Chicken Hill is the first in her debut graphic novel series.
Step into the world of being an author and illustrator with Beccy. Students will discover where her graphic novel ideas come from, how she brings her characters to life, and what it’s really like to create a book. Then it’s their turn to get creative with a fun, interactive draw-along packed with imagination, doodles and plenty of laughs!
