Originally formed by a group of experienced musicians who’ve played in various bands in local areas over the years, the Green River Band was put together to recreate well known rock and blues songs and give audiences something different to the regular material that gets heard everywhere. As a change from the well-trodden tunes we were used to playing with other bands, we wanted to play the music we love, and audiences love to hear, but don’t get to often enough!
The Green River Band pulls their set list and inspiration from the likes of Free, Rory Gallagher, ZZ Top, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Rolling Stones, Tom Petty, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Led Zeppelin, Luther Allison, Neil Young, The Black Crows, Eric Clapton and many more.
