Third Degree have their roots in the extremely popular band ABB who graced the Victoria Halls stages several times.
After the retirement of a couple of members of the original band, Third Degree was formed in 2025 supplementing their highly successful blues, jump jive and boogie genres with some classic rock.
Third Degree are:
Hugh Budden – (vocal and harmonica) an award-winning harmonica player, and former member of top UK blues band 'The Producers'.
John Ackroyd – (keyboards) a seasoned veteran with a 40 year plus record of working in bands.
John Holmes – (guitar and vocals) a founder member of ABB, who according to Guitarist Magazine has a “lovely sound and style”.
Brian Heeley – (drums) a veteran of the 1960s Liverpool music scene, who has worked professionally with a host of stars over the years.
Dave Christopher – (bass) another founder member of ABB, who has also been a session musician for many years.
